How To Adopt

Adopting from the RSPCA is one of the best and most responsible ways to bring an animal into your home.

A cat has a lot of love to offer and is a very rewarding companion, and we want to ensure that all of our wonderful cats find loving new homes. To make sure that happens, we have a simple procedure in place, which we make adopting as quick and easy as it can be, just to be sure we are acting in the best interests of our cats.

If you would like to adopt a cat from Bluebell Ridge these are the following 6 easy step procedures:

  1. Visit the Cattery during our opening hours to meet the cats that are available for rehoming.

  2. Choose a suitable cat with the help of our trained staff. (Where possible we ask all family members to meet your chosen cat/kitten).

  3. Fill in an adoption form.

  4. A home visitor will contact you to arrange a home visit.

  5. If your home visit is successful, an appointment will be made for you to collect your cat. A final health check will be carried out before your cat leaves the centre.

  6. When collecting your cat, we will ask to see some ID and then all adoption paperwork will be completed.

        ADOPTION FEES

    • £75 per cat over 6 months or £140 per pair
    • £85 per kitten under 6 months or £160 per pair of kittens

The fee above includes: a vet health check, vaccinations, microchip, flea and worm treatment. Males are castrated and females are spayed.

Tabby DSH, female, 1 year approx.Henrietta has come on such a long way with her confidence since she arrived at the cattery. With lots of TLC and trust building, she's gone from a scared little cat, too afraid to allow contact, to popping out of her pod to sit on your lap for a fuss (and a few cheeky treats). She's also started to explore the cattery a little, but comes back to us for a bit of rub round for reassurance. She's an amazing little character who, with a nurturing and committed owner or older family, will blossom and grow in confidence all the more. She's such a gentle cat, and with not a bad bone in her body, she's looking for someone to give her a second chance.
Bonnie - Oriental cross, chocolate tortie, female 2 years old. Hero - Oriental cross, Chocolate, male, 14 weeks old.Bonnie and Hero are stunning cats and both very loving. Hero has learnt well from his beloved mum and has picked up on her lovely little ways, being every bit as affectionate. Bonnie is such a devoted mum to her boy and Hero can do no wrong in her eyes. He's a cheeky chap and they enjoy many games together. They are looking forward to a home where they can enjoy having more space to have fun, and making some more human friends to join in with. They need a home away from busy roads and with someone who is home for most of the day, in an older family setup.
Ginger and white DLH, female, 11 years old approx.Tess is a very loveable and enjoys snuggling up on your lap for a snooze. She would be a perfect companion for someone looking for a homely cat. Her confidence has come on leaps and bounds since she came to us. When she first arrived, she was in shock initially and was very scared of the other cats around her. Although still not keen on her feline neighbours, she's realised she's safe and this has allowed her loving nature to shine through. She would therefore really benefit from a home as only pet and without young children where she can kick back and relax. Whoever adopts this gorgeous girl will be very lucky and well rewarded. Currently with our fosterer please ask for details if you are interested in adopting.
