Volunteer Fundraising Team Members Wanted

The RSPCA Sussex East and Hastings Branch (Bluebell Ridge) are looking for fundraising team members to join their group to raise awareness and funds for the branch, which can enable them to help animals in need in the local area.

The role is very flexible in terms of the actual activities and will be flexible depending upon the volunteer's skills. There will be big and small projects for members to work on, depending on what members are comfortable with and how many hours they are able to work for the branch. Ongoing guidance and support will be provided by the branch.

Fundraising team members will:

  • Be required to attend our fundraising meeting which happens once every 2 months
  • Develop new and imaginative fundraising ideas
  • Organise local fundraising events
  • Inspire new supporters to raise money
  • Attend events which could involve collecting money
  • Contact local businesses

To find out more, please pop into Bluebell Ridge and speak to Myra Grove, centre manager. Our address is Chowns Hill, Hastings, TN35 4PA. Or you can call Myra on 01424 752121 or email rspcabluebellridge@hotmail.co.uk for more information.

Bluebell Ridge is owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings branch of the RSPCA. It is a separate charity within the national body and is entirely self-financing. Each year the branch has to raise more than 150,000 so it relies on the support of the public and fundraising to continue its vital work.

Ginger DSH, male, 14 years old approx.Ivan is a dear gentleman who enjoys human company. He was a stray before he came to us and looks like he's had to fend for himself for some time. He would like nothing more than a cosy home to call his own, and a safe spot to snuggle down. Although he can be shy of head strokes, he does really enjoy a fuss with a calm slow approach, and has quite a purr when his engine gets going, with his feet padding away with happiness. He would like a home with an older family. Ivan is currently in a foster home. Please ask for details.
Black & White DLH Male, 6 years old approx.Oliver is a sensitive soul with a gentle nature. He is gaining in confidence and has become an affectionate lad, rubbing round you when you crouch to stroke him. Although he was very shy when he first arrived, he has found his feet with us and is improving all the time. He will be a very rewarding cat to have around.  He would like a home with an older family.
Black and white, male, 5 1/2 years old.Felix is a lovely boy who loves to lay outside in the sun and to have a roll about. He is a very affectionate cat who loves a stroke and a fuss. He also likes time to himself to relax and mull over his day. Felix is very handsome with his striking markings. He finds himself looking for a new home to call his own after his owner's circumstances changed. He is looking for a loving family home where he can enjoy life, lounging around and having a fuss and attention when he wants.
