Concert to Support Bluebell Ridge

A local singing group is presenting a new concert in aid of Bluebell Ridge on Saturday 5 March at 11am.

The singing group, 'Friends Unlimited',formed fifteen years ago, firstly presenting civic Christmas concerts in Hastings Town Hall.Throughout their time, the 3-part harmony group (soprano, contralto and baritone) have supported over twenty local organisations and have raised many hundreds of pounds.

The twelve singers are delighted to be presenting a new concert to support Bluebell Ridge who are owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings branch of the RSPCA. They are a separate charity within the national body and are entirely self-financed.

The concert will feature a morning of choral entertainment, including a performance of 'Orpheus in the Underground','Hallelujah' and a tribute to Sir Terry Wogan with 'Floral Dance'.

Tickets are £6 each, which includes interval refreshments and there will also be a raffle.

The money raised from the concert will go towards the local cats and dogs in the charity's care. Each year the branch has to raise more than £150,000 so it relies on the support of the public to continue its vital work.

The Friends in Song concert will betaking place at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery at Bohemia Road, Hastings.

Ginger and white DLH, female, 11 years old approx.Tess is a beautiful girl with a personality to match. She is looking for a fresh start in life with someone who can shower her with love, as she so deserves. She is very loveable and enjoys snuggling up on your lap for a snooze. She would be a perfect companion for someone looking for a homely cat. Her confidence has come on leaps and bounds since she came to us. When she first arrived, she was in shock initially and was very scared of the other cats around her. Although still not keen on her feline neighbours, she's realised she's safe and this has allowed her loving nature to shine through. She would therefore really benefit from a home as only pet and without young children where she can kick back and relax. Whoever adopts this gorgeous girl will be very lucky and well rewarded.
Ginger DSH, male, 14 years old approx.Ivan is a dear and sensitive gentleman who was a stray before he came to us and looked like he had to fend for himself for some time. He would like nothing more than a cosy home to call his own, and a safe spot to snuggle down. Ivan is very shy and requires a patient owner who he could learn to trust and gain confidence. Once he is comfortable, he will really enjoy a fuss and loves being brushed. He would like a quiet home with an older family and could possibly be an indoor cat in a spacious environment. His adoption fee will be reduced as we'd rather Ivan spent his senior years in a comfortable loving home.Ivan is currently in a foster home. Please ask for details.
Tabby DSH, female, 1 year approx.Henrietta has come on such a long way with her confidence since she arrived at the cattery. With lots of TLC and trust building, she's gone from a scared little cat, too afraid to allow contact, to popping out of her pod to sit on your lap for a fuss (and a few cheeky treats). She's also started to explore the cattery a little, but comes back to us for a bit of rub round for reassurance. She's an amazing little character who, with a nurturing and committed owner or older family, will blossom and grow in confidence all the more. She's such a gentle cat, and with not a bad bone in her body, she's looking for someone to give her a second chance.
