Concert to Support Bluebell Ridge

A local singing group is presenting a new concert in aid of Bluebell Ridge on Saturday 5 March at 11am.

The singing group, 'Friends Unlimited',formed fifteen years ago, firstly presenting civic Christmas concerts in Hastings Town Hall.Throughout their time, the 3-part harmony group (soprano, contralto and baritone) have supported over twenty local organisations and have raised many hundreds of pounds.

The twelve singers are delighted to be presenting a new concert to support Bluebell Ridge who are owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings branch of the RSPCA. They are a separate charity within the national body and are entirely self-financed.

The concert will feature a morning of choral entertainment, including a performance of 'Orpheus in the Underground','Hallelujah' and a tribute to Sir Terry Wogan with 'Floral Dance'.

Tickets are £6 each, which includes interval refreshments and there will also be a raffle.

The money raised from the concert will go towards the local cats and dogs in the charity's care. Each year the branch has to raise more than £150,000 so it relies on the support of the public to continue its vital work.

The Friends in Song concert will betaking place at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery at Bohemia Road, Hastings.

Black DSH female, 7 1/2 years old.Sasha is a beauty with a sensitive nature. Although she finds new situations a bit daunting, she soon settles down to become a loving and affectionate little lady. She is full of character and can sometimes let what's on her mind show. Once settled in a home, she will feel more in control of her day to day life and be much happier. She is looking for a fresh start with a nurturing owner or older family, who can give her the space she needs to settle and get to know the household routine. In return, she will be a faithful friend and a joy to have in your home. She loves to play and is very entertaining chasing and leaping about after her favourite orange worm on a string.
Tortie & White 8 years old Domestic Long HairedMaple is a beautiful cat in need of a nurturing and understanding friend. She will need an experienced cat person who will give her the time and space to settle in her own time. A careful approach to her introduction to her new home will give her the building blocks she needs to then work on gaining trust in accepting contact. She will need a small quiet settling room to make her own before venturing into more of her new home. Maple will be a lovely little project cat for someone, and gaining her trust will be all the more rewarding. She is looking for that special someone who can accept her for who she is and not expect too much from her. She enjoys company but anything more than this proves too daunting for her. She would best suit a very quiet home with just one or two people for her to get to know. Available for adoption please enquire. Currently with a Foster Carer.
