Cat of the Year Competition!

Bluebell Ridge is holding a Cat of the Year competition where the winning cat will receive a hamper of goodies!

Hastings and Rother cat owners are invited to enter the competition for a chance to win a hamper of goodies, kindly provided by Lily's Kitchen. The winning cat's photo will also be displayed at the Bluebell Ridge Centre in Hastings.

To enter the competition, all you have to do is send a photo of your cat and tell us why your cat deserves to win the 'Cat of the Year' title - its that simple!

Nikki Hawes, Income Generation & Marketing Officer for Bluebell Ridge said: "Working at Bluebell Ridge, you hear many amazing stories about how a cat has enhanced someone's life and we thought that it would be lovely to highlight one cat with their heart-warming story. They do not have to be a cat which was adopted from Bluebell Ridge, the competition is open to all cats in the Hastings and Rother area. We're really looking forward to receiving many tales and finding the Bluebell Ridge Cat of the Year 2017."

The closing date for the competition is 12pm on Monday 27 February 2017.

To enter your cat's story, please email your entry to bluebellridge@outlook.com with a photo, a reason why they should be the winner and your contact details.

You can also enter by post, by sending your entry to:

Tabby DSH, male, 10 years old.King Louie is an affectionate chap, he can come across a little shy at first but once he's comfortable in his surroundings he quickly gains confidence. He loves to sit next to you having an abundance of strokes and would happily stay there for hours on end and chat to you all day! He is a sensitive soul so would need a quiet home with no other pets or children and a neighbourhood with few cats. He has been used to exploring outside in his previous home, and it would be nice for him to have a good size garden to head out into eventually. Louie is with a foster carer.Provisional Reserve
Tortie & White DLH female, 8 years old.Maple is a beautiful troubled soul in need of understanding and kindness. She needs a patient and calm owner, who can help develop her confidence at her own pace. Maple is very wary of feet in particular and panics if she feels cornered, which is why she needs a quiet household with no children or other pets. She needs access to a litter tray in an area that is very quiet and easily accessible where she won’t be interrupted. If you are an experienced cat owner who is able to give a great deal of time into helping Maple, please contact us. Maple is currently with a Foster Carer.Provisional Reserve
Ginger Tabby & White DSH, male, 3 years old.Oscar is a cheeky young lad with lots of energy. He needs someone who can offer him plenty of opportunities to play as he loves his feather fishing rod toy. He also enjoys his puzzle feeder which gets his brain working too. Oscar is looking for an adult only household with plenty of outdoor space for him to explore. He will be a great companion in the right home, with no other pets.
