Alison will be running to raise funds for us

Alison who is a supporter and volunteer for Bluebell Ridge will be running the Hastings Half Marathon on Sunday 19th March to raise funds for the centre.

Alison said: "I have entered the Hastings Half Marathon this year, not because I am 'a runner' but because I would like to raise funds for Bluebell Ridge who would not exist if people didn't fund-raise or donate.  Hundreds of cats come to the centre every year, some have horrific injuries requiring immediate vet treatment then rehabilitation, some are just unwanted. Everyone at Bluebell Ridge work incredibly hard looking after the residents, ultimately finding them suitable 'forever homes'. I am hoping the huge amount of effort I am putting in before the race and on the race day, will reflect the amount of money I will be able to raise for this very worthy cause."

If you would like to sponsor Alison and help her raise funds for Bluebell Ridge, please visit her JustGiving page

We wish Alison the best of luck and would like to thank her for choosing to support Bluebell Ridge.

Ginger and white DLH, female, 11 years old approx.Tess is a very loveable and enjoys snuggling up on your lap for a snooze. She would be a perfect companion for someone looking for a homely cat. Her confidence has come on leaps and bounds since she came to us. When she first arrived, she was in shock initially and was very scared of the other cats around her. Although still not keen on her feline neighbours, she's realised she's safe and this has allowed her loving nature to shine through. She would therefore really benefit from a home as only pet and without young children where she can kick back and relax. Whoever adopts this gorgeous girl will be very lucky and well rewarded. Currently with our fosterer please ask for details if you are interested in adopting.
Tabby DSH, female, 1 year approx.Henrietta has come on such a long way with her confidence since she arrived at the cattery. With lots of TLC and trust building, she's gone from a scared little cat, too afraid to allow contact, to popping out of her pod to sit on your lap for a fuss (and a few cheeky treats). She's also started to explore the cattery a little, but comes back to us for a bit of rub round for reassurance. She's an amazing little character who, with a nurturing and committed owner or older family, will blossom and grow in confidence all the more. She's such a gentle cat, and with not a bad bone in her body, she's looking for someone to give her a second chance.
Bonnie - Oriental cross, chocolate tortie, female 2 years old. Hero - Oriental cross, Chocolate, male, 14 weeks old.Bonnie and Hero are stunning cats and both very loving. Hero has learnt well from his beloved mum and has picked up on her lovely little ways, being every bit as affectionate. Bonnie is such a devoted mum to her boy and Hero can do no wrong in her eyes. He's a cheeky chap and they enjoy many games together. They are looking forward to a home where they can enjoy having more space to have fun, and making some more human friends to join in with. They need a home away from busy roads and with someone who is home for most of the day, in an older family setup.
