Artwork donations wanted

Bluebell Ridge is calling on local artists of all ages to donate a piece of art and help raise funds for cats in need.

This is our first art exhibition and we hope to raise awareness and funds to help continue caring for unwanted, abandoned and stay cats in Hastings and Rother.

If you're a hobby artist or a professional artist, we would be overjoyed if you would kindly donate a piece of art in any media, including painting, print, photography or mixed media. It does not have to be animal linked and can be any genre. Artwork will be priced at £45 or less, with all proceeds going towards helping the cats in our care.

Throughout the fundraiser, we will be highlighting artists who have kindly donated art on our social media pages and we will be holding a special viewing where artists are welcome to promote themselves on Saturday 17th February.

If you would like to donate your art, please email a photo of the artwork, along with the media type and measurements to bluebellridge@outlook.com before Wednesday 31st January.

The exhibition will run from Wednesday 14th until Saturday 17th February at The Crypt Gallery in St Mary in the Castle, Hastings.

Artwork would need to be delivered to our centre at Bluebell Ridge in Chowns Hill, Hastings before Monday 12th February. We would greatly appreciate it if your artwork could be framed or ready to be hung.

If you have any queries, please contact Nikki Hawes at bluebellridge@outlook.com or on 01424 752121.

DSH Black female, 5-6 years old. Hettie is a very beautiful girl with a stunning jet-black coat.  Hettie can be affectionate and playful and also has an independent side. She would suit a home where she can choose the comfort of indoors or explore the outdoors in a large garden. Hettie would like an older family with no young children, that will give her the time and care that she needs to adapt to her new environment.  She is very sensitive to sudden movements and noise within the home, so would need a quiet and calm home.
Black DSH, male, 4 years old approx. Can you give Donald a forever home? He came into the cattery very shy and unsure. He has now turned into a lovely friendly affectionate boy, who loves to head bump with pure affection. Donald will make a great companion who would be better suited to an older family not the very young. Come and visit him.
DSH Black male, 2 years old.Matthew is a loving boy who enjoys human company. He is friendly and loves the attention. He can be a little shy at times, but with reassurance, he soon forgets to be nervous. He is a lovely lad who will be a lovely companion.
