Our Open Day Raises £1,114.33

Cat lovers had a purrfect afternoon when they helped raise 1,114.33 for the Bluebell Ridge Cat Rehoming Centre on Sunday 20 September.

We welcomed a fantastic number of visitors to our final open day of the year which had a variety of stalls, including children's games, home made treats, raffles and a tombola.

The public also had the chance to visit our cats that were looking for homes. We had numerous enquiries and reserves taken on the cats, with eight possibly being found new homes.

Myra Grove, Cattery Manager for Bluebell Ridge said: We are extremely grateful to everyone who came along and made our final open day of the year a great success. The amount raised on the day is a fantastic amount and I am overwhelmed by how many people have come to support our open days throughout the year.

The Sussex East and Hastings branch of the RSPCA will be holding their next event onSaturday 19 December at Fairlight Village Hall which will be their Christmas Fayre.

You can view all of the cats in need of a home on our Cats At The Centre page.

Torbie and white DLH female, 3 years approx.Saffron is a very pretty girl who is a hidden treasure. Don't be put off by her greeting hiss, it's all front and she really enjoys a gentle fuss. She has found herself here after her owner sadly passed away. It's taken her time to adjust to such a change, but she trusts us now and loves company. She's looking for a quiet home where she can be given time to settle at her pace. She will be a loving companion in the right household.
Tortie Female, 11 years old approx. Tabitha is a lady who will shout to get your attention. She's a little set in her ways with an independent side. She's looking for a new home to retire, that's quiet with lots of places to curl up for a nap! She would need to be the only cat of the household.
Black and white DSH male, 2 years old.Eddie is such a dapper looking gent, with striking green eyes. Sadly he isn't very trusting of people, so he will need a lot of time and patience to win him over but it will be worth it! He would suit a quiet household where he can relax and feel safe. He would need to be the only cat of the household.
