Meet The Team

At Bluebell Ridge you'll find a wonderfully dedicated team that look after our cats, and are eager to help you find a wonderful new pet should you decide to adopt!

MyraMyra

Manager

Myra has worked at the cattery since 2001 and has been manager since 2010. She has seen the centre evolve from strength to strength. Myra has great pleasure in knowing that the cats are reserved and watching them going off to their new homes. As well as owning two needy Bluebell Ridge cats she is also a great dog lover and has an RSPCA Staffie.

GemmaGemma

Acting Deputy

Gemma started as a volunteer in 2002 and then quickly became a member of staff. She now works part time due to having a family. Gemma uses her experience and knowledge and gets involved with the daily running of the centre. She has a lovely cat at home called Troy.

KarenKaren

Animal Care Assistant

Karen previously volunteered and worked at the centre from 2005 until 2011 and she returned in October 2016 as a full-time Animal Care Assistant. She has a cat named Tricky from Bluebell Ridge and a rescue dog named Bella who is a Pets as Therapy dog.

Animal Care Assistant

Karen is an Animal Care Assistant at the centre and she joined the team in February 2016. She has several years of experience of working with animals and has a dog named Ted and three cats called Mister B, Frank and Twiglet.

KateKate

Animal Care Assistant

Kate started as a volunteer in 2004 and became a permanent full time member of staff in 2009. Kate co-ordinates the vet visits and also has a keen interest in feline behaviour. She has four cats of her own, all of which were adopted from Bluebell Ridge.

NickNick

Animal Care Assistant

Nick is an Animal Care Assistant at the centre and he joined the team in April 2016. He has several years of experience of working in boarding catteries and has two troublesome cats of his own; Arnie and Noodle. 

NikkiNikki

Income Generation & Marketing Officer

Nikki started as a volunteer in 2014 and became a permanent member in 2015. She has many years of experience of marketing businesses, local government and charities, along with a love for cats!

Ginger and white DLH, female, 11 years old approx.Tess is a beautiful girl with a personality to match. She is looking for a fresh start in life with someone who can shower her with love, as she so deserves. She is very loveable and enjoys snuggling up on your lap for a snooze. She would be a perfect companion for someone looking for a homely cat. Her confidence has come on leaps and bounds since she came to us. When she first arrived, she was in shock initially and was very scared of the other cats around her. Although still not keen on her feline neighbours, she's realised she's safe and this has allowed her loving nature to shine through. She would therefore really benefit from a home as only pet and without young children where she can kick back and relax. Whoever adopts this gorgeous girl will be very lucky and well rewarded.
Tabby DSH, female, 1 year approx.Henrietta has come on such a long way with her confidence since she arrived at the cattery. With lots of TLC and trust building, she's gone from a scared little cat, too afraid to allow contact, to popping out of her pod to sit on your lap for a fuss (and a few cheeky treats). She's also started to explore the cattery a little, but comes back to us for a bit of rub round for reassurance. She's an amazing little character who, with a nurturing and committed owner or older family, will blossom and grow in confidence all the more. She's such a gentle cat, and with not a bad bone in her body, she's looking for someone to give her a second chance.
Ginger DSH, male, 14 years old approx.Ivan is a dear and sensitive gentleman who was a stray before he came to us and looked like he had to fend for himself for some time. He would like nothing more than a cosy home to call his own, and a safe spot to snuggle down. Ivan is very shy and requires a patient owner who he could learn to trust and gain confidence. Once he is comfortable, he will really enjoy a fuss and loves being brushed. He would like a quiet home with an older family and could possibly be an indoor cat in a spacious environment. His adoption fee will be reduced as we'd rather Ivan spent his senior years in a comfortable loving home.Ivan is currently in a foster home. Please ask for details.
